To Our Supporters, Ministry Partners, and Friends,

CULTURELink’s mission is to make disciples of those who make disciples of all nations. Whether the world is open or shut down, we remain focused on our mission. We want to keep you informed about the ongoing opportunities God has opened to us during these uncertain times and how we are responding.

The Kiln People in the Middle East

Your continued generosity to the persecuted Middle Eastern families and to CULTURELink is overwhelming. Phase 2 of caring for our brothers and sisters in this Muslim-majority country is complete. There are 450 Christian families that Pastor S is connected to who have been denied government assistance unless they renounce their faith and embrace Islam. CULTURELink is in regular contact with Pastor S, his missions agency, and the local church, seeking ways to partner and support the work in the Middle East. To date, 250 families are being provided a monthly supply of food and their basic medicals needs are being met. This month, a distribution strategy for Phase 3 is being formed and resources acquired to serve the next group of families. The cost to provide one family with a month’s supply of food is only $25. Please continue to pray for this project. Distribution has to be done behind the scenes. One believer was recently martyred.

The Samaritan House in El Salvador

Our partner in El Salvador, the Samaritan House, serves an at-risk community that has also been economically devastated by COVID-19. CULTURELink is working with them on a food distribution program for families in need. The cost to provide a single family with enough food for one month is only $30. Samaritan House’s primary ministry is to provide resources and spiritual care to prostitutes who are trying to find another profession. One woman, with whom they had been working, became so desperate to feed her kids that she ignored quarantine measures to return to the streets. We were recently informed that she tragically contracted COVID-19 from a client and died. She left behind two middle-school-age daughters. CULTURELink is responding to these real-time needs as quickly and strategically as possible.

Royal Kids School in Kenya

In addition to the above projects, we are keeping close ties to our partnership in Kenya. Royal Kids School and the churches in the Mikindani community have expectedly closed. Because of this, the school’s faculty have lost their income, and many are on the verge of eviction from their homes. CULTURELink is working closely with Grace Mazira on meeting payroll needs and for the care of the students that have no home in which to quarantine.

Continuing to Move Toward Ministry

Bottom line, the already-fragile economies around the world are suffering to a much larger degree than in the States. CULTURELink will continue to move toward ministry with our partners around the globe. Without our generous financial partners, this would not be possible. Miraculously, our operating budget remains stable while we have simultaneously distributed $18,000 to our international partners in the last 10 weeks. Please keep us in your prayers.

Because of this, with the oversight of our board, we will continue to minister in the name of Jesus. Without apology, we invite you to join our team with a one-time and/or monthly gift. Just click on the button below. (You can designate your gift by selecting “International Projects” from the dropdown menu and including a note on the second step when giving online.)

“Depend on it. God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.”
