SHORT-TERM TRIPS
CULTURELink facilitates custom short-term trips for churches and organizations to disciple their teams and coach their leaders through the entire trip process–from logistics and administrative resources to team development, field site activities, debriefing, and re-entry. We connect churches and organizations with credible ministries around the globe to facilitate impactful cross-cultural experiences, ensuring that all parties involved adhere to our Partnership Philosophy. Our goal is to create opportunities for discipleship, not merely events for people to register for and experience.
Short-Term Trip Goals & Process
We serve alongside trip leader(s), coaching them through the entire process of the trip – from logistics and admin resources, to team development, to the field site, to back home. Throughout the process, we emphasize three primary objectives:
- Teams experience effective cross-cultural ministry while being instilled with a long-term vision for discipleship and ministry.
- The long-term goals and vision of the field site host(s) are served, the local leadership is encouraged and valued, and the community they serve is built up in a holistic way.
- The relationship and activity are healthy and fruitful for the senders, goers, and hosts––a win-win-win partnership.
Step 1
Organization Discovery
Organization Discovery
What are your church or organization’s vision, strategy, and long-term goals? What are your people passionate about? Any part of the world you’re interested in? Are there specific projects or activities you would like to be involved in?
Step 2
Partnering Together
Partnering Together
Our staff will work with you to determined field sites that align your church or organization’s strategy & long-term goals, as well as ministry partners that would benefit from the activities or projects you are interested in.
Step 3
Admin Coaching
Admin Coaching
We’ll help with things like creating a communication strategy and developing an application process. We’ll manage logistics like airfare & travel, lodging, insurance, visa & immunization requirements, and coordinating activities & schedule with the field site.
Step 4
Pre-field Training
Pre-field Training
Every team needs to be trained in basic issues such as cultural sensitivity and the development of a support team. Our staff will walk alongside your leader(s) and help them disciple your team through our curriculum.
Step 5
Living the Experience
Living the Experience
Our staff travels to the field site with your team to disciple your team, develop your new partnership, and serve alongside them. We mentor your leader(s) in navigating culture shock, resolving team conflict, and daily debriefing.
Step 6
Debriefing and Re-Entry
Debriefing and Re-Entry
Perhaps the most important part of your trip, your team needs to reflect back on their field experience and redirect their lives. Our staff walks them through our Five Step Debriefing process and prepares them to return home and live what they learned on the field.
Depending on the needs of each field site and your group’s makeup and desired ministry expression, we will find an international or stateside church or organization to partner with you.
