Larry Ragan

Founder / Director

CULTURELink‘s founder, Larry Ragan, has been active in God’s Kingdom work in more than fifty countries around the world. He began his international work in 1986 by traveling to the South Pacific on mission. Since then, he has led and/or overseen more than 300 international teams, many of which have been focused on prayer, professional exchanges, Christian outreach, building projects, AIDS and hunger relief, disaster assistance, teaching English, and more. As a result of Larry’s leadership, many believers have been mobilized for full-time global involvement.

After completing studies in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and earning a M. A. in both Cross-Cultural Ministries and Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary, Larry served as the World Missions Pastor at two Atlanta area churches.

In the first ten years of CULTURELink’s existence prior to becoming a nonprofit organization, Larry and his team of trainers equipped more than 2,500 short-term team leaders from over 500 different churches to properly disciple teams to impact the nations for Jesus Christ. Larry believes that he has been called to “disciple those who will make disciples of all nations.”

In addition to his global involvement, Larry served for eleven years as a teaching pastor at North Metro Church in Kennesaw, Georgia. He and his wife, Karen, also served as missionaries with Grace Ministries International in Budapest, Hungary. He currently ministers full time by training and consulting with CULTURELink and serving as an itinerant speaker, both nationally and internationally, for churches, Campus Crusade for Christ, YWAM, and many other organizations.

Larry lives in Marietta, Georgia, with Karen, their two dogs, four cats, and one frog. His son and daughter are in college. (FYI: the animal count does shift daily!)

In addition to his work with CULTURELink, Larry also serves as an instructor for Perspectives on the World Christian Movement courses. He is available to serve as a guest speaker at your church or organization or as a conference keynote speaker, conference workshop/breakout session host, or ministry consultant. He is also qualified to teach as an adjunct instructor/professor at the collegiate level. He and Karen both conduct spiritual life conferences, retreats, and global worker care in some of the toughest regions of the world.

Ryan Hurlburt

Assistant Director

Ryan Hurlburt joined CULTURELink in 2011 as a trainer, consultant, and team leader. Previously the Team Director for another mission organization, Ryan has led multiple trips throughout Latin America, Europe, and Africa, with teams comprised of as few as five members and as many as eighty. Ryan leads teams of all ages, but his background in youth ministry has specially positioned him to develop a specialty niche: youth teams.

Ryan’s laid-back, highly intentional leadership style strategically develops servants to impact the globe. Originally from Tampa, Ryan is a graduate of Trinity College of Florida with degrees in Biblical Studies and Business & Organizational Leadership. He and his wife, Katharine, have lived in Atlanta since 2009. They have two boys, Asher and Alistair.

In addition to facilitating seminars, consulting with churches and mission organizations, and leading short-term trips for churches and other groups, Ryan is available to be a guest speaker for your church/organization. He also serves as a conference keynote speaker, conference workshop/breakout session host, and ministry consultant.
